Farming has always been a balancing act between productivity and sustainability. Farmer Johnny’s story shows how shifting from chemical fertilizers to natural solutions like GierO2 treated liquid manure and Loxsoil can improve soil health, increasing crop yields, and provide significant savings on fertiliser costs. His journey offers practical insights for farmers looking to make a similar change.

Introduction to farmer Johnny who farms mainly wheat, onions, potatoes and sugar beets on 60 Ha in the Netherlands
He uses GierO2 treated liquid manure to fertilize his soils in combination with Loxsoil for soil oxygenation. He does not use any chemical fertilizer
last year farmer Johnny lost 50% of his onion crop due to hail but still farmed what was left
Farmer Johnny yielded 40 tons onion per Ha even though he lost 50% of his crop. That is an excellent yield and the onions were bigger and hard as cannonballs meaning he could store them much longer and sell when prices were better
He harvested 120 tons/Ha sugar beets using GierO2 and Loxsoil whereas without it he only harvested 80 tons/Ha
Using GierO2 and Loxsoil his potato yield is consistently 30% higher. His soil is also better so he has a lot less soil to bring back to fields after potato-washing
Using GierO2 and Loxsoil he harvests 12 ton wheat per Ha instead of 10 at a much lower cost
Calculation of fertilizing cost using GierO2 treated liquid manure and soil oxygenation with Loxsoil is significantly cheaper that using chemical fertilizers and the results are much better
He farms on heavy sandy clay soils and no longer has a problem with hard pans or soil crusts. Also more earthworms in his soil
Thanks to soil improvements using GIerO2 and Loxsoil his soil structure is much better and he no longer has flooded fields after heavy rain or cracked soils after drought periods.

Altering your farming system is always challenging. For many farmers who have practiced the same methods for years, it represents a significant obstacle. However, to survive, continue farming, and cultivate a profitable crop, adapting and experimenting with new techniques is essential. In today's global context, where fertilizer prices have skyrocketed, it is estimated that 70% of farmers can no longer afford the usual amount needed for a successful crop. Farmers must learn to farm effectively with the resources at their disposal and optimize the use of purchased resources. Using GierO2 to treat liquid manure and increase its fertilizing value by 70% is one option that farmers have. Using Loxsoil to oxygenate the soil and increasing the soil structure and resource availability and plant nutrient uptake is another choice. The combination is even better as can be seen in photo hereunder.
